Meet the MiniCourse Coach

MiniPD Coach Shannon Raybold

Shannon Raybold is an international special educator who is passionate about including all children in international school settings. She has supported schools across Central and SE Asia as well as in China by developing supports for children with special learning needs and by building teacher capacity to serve diverse learners across environments. Shannon has been a classroom teacher in both public and private schools in the US and internationally. Shannon is currently serving as an Program Administrator for Multnomah Early Childhood Program in Portland, Oregon, which provides early intervention services to all birth-5 children in the state’s most populous county. She is also the Director of International Programs for Global Special Education Associates, which is dedicated to supporting international schools as they develop and grow their programs for neurodiverse learners. She founded an educational consulting firm specializing in supporting children and adults with autism and behavioral needs. She is currently working on her Doctorate in Special Education Leadership. Shannon has spoken at conferences and provided training in the U.S., China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan. She partnered with UNICEF to provide training to local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that serve children with special needs. Shannon also co-produced professional development sessions that were streamed to QSI schools in 29 countries around the globe. Shannon has served as the Vice Chair of the David Douglas School Board and is currently serving as an Associate Director for SENIA. She brings over 20 years of experience in the field and has 3 school aged children who are each exceptional learners in their own way.
